Your solution is great with DVDs, but I have to keep swapping them (usually 4) to install most programs. If I had the "mirror" on the USB drive I wouldn't have to swap DVDs. I've even tried modifying the sources.list, but it always seems to skip the USB drive. Hi - great post/script!
